Marriage in Paradise.

Vows in the Garden of Eden.
Don’t worry, there are no apple trees in this Garden of Eden. Not many snakes either. Just a whole lot of sunshine and beauty.
Where is this Caribbean paradise? Three answers stand out: Saint Lucia, Grenada, the Grenadines.
Saint Lucia.
Saint Lucia laws make it easy for you to organize a marriage. In RodneyBay there is a very picturesque park, on a secluded peninsula, jutting out into the turquoise sea whose swells slide up the white sand beach. You can reserve a large area of this park for your wedding. You can have the ceremony right on the shores of this park, I have witnessed a few very happy weddings there. You could also opt for other beaches on the same bay or farther south near the famous Pitons there are hotels where weddings are also easily organized. This island regularly hosts weddings and is well prepared for this. Of course the weather and the scenery are a dream come true.
St Lucia has two airports. One is close to the capital, Castries, but is not able to handle large jets. The other, Hewanorra the international airport, is a long drive and an expensive taxi ride away from Castries or RodneyBay or even the Pitons. This could be a consideration if you expect many guests.
Grenada.
You could also think of this most beautiful island for a wedding. The law here also allows non residents to marry after only three days in the country. The Grande Anse beach is probably the most inviting place for a reception and there are many hotels right on the beach.
Grenada has the advantage of a great airport that is not very far from the capital St George's and even closer to Grande Anse. Grenada is also a safer country.
The Grenadines.
You could exchange vows on any one of the following islands: Bequia, Moustique, Canouan, Mayereau, Union. Of these only Mayereau has no airport but it is only a few minutes by boat from Union. Salt Whistle Bay on Mayereau would be my first choice for a picturesque out of the ordinary site.
You could if
you have a large budget, make everything simpler and let a four star hotel island
take care of everything. Each of these hotels owns it's island and all are reached
only by boat. Think of this, only reached by sea...
Young Island, just a stone’s throw from St Vincent.
Palm Island, fifteen minutes by boat from Union. Transfer provided by the hotel
Petit St Vincent, twenty five minutes from Union again by boat provided by the hotel.
Of these my choice would be Petit St Vincent but all three are very special.
The Grenadines would also be a first choice for the beauty of the awe inspiring settings. They are not as easily reached by air as either St Lucia or Grenada, that is why they come third on my list, but if you can tolerate not having a direct flight to the wedding or if you can arrange an air taxi or private air charter then yes they stand out.
After the Wedding Why Not Honeymoon on a Yacht?
After treating all your friends to a garden of Eden wedding, why not indulge yourselves with a private cruise through the Grenadines? Just the two of you under an immense blue sky, tanning on a white beach or splashing in the clear warm waters of the Caribbean. Just you and the crew, and the wind, on the emerald sea, now and then chatting with dolphins. More champagne?
